Mexico City (September 18, 2022).-The royal family released through their social networks an unpublished photograph of Queen Elizabeth II that was taken to commemorate the monarch’s Platinum Jubilee.
Hours before, King Charles III thanked the people who have supported the British royal family in recent days.
“As we all prepare to say our final goodbyes, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank all those countless people who have been such a huge support and comfort to my family and me in this time of grief,” she wrote.
Queen Elizabeth II is the first monarch to spend 70 years on the throne, the previous record was held by her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, who reigned for 63 years, 7 months and 2 days (from June 20, 1837 until her death on January 22, 1901).
10 days after the announcement of the death of the Queen, Prince Andrew had not shared his feelings until today, in which he assures that he will always be in his heart.
“Mom, I will treasure your love for a son, your compassion, your care and your trust forever. I have found your infinite knowledge and wisdom, without limit or restraint,” he wrote.
This Monday will be the funeral of Queen Elizabeth in Westminster, where more than 2,000 guests from all over the world are expected to attend to say goodbye.
