MOokie Betts and Will Smith each hit two-run homers and five Dodgers relievers combined to maintain the lead and the Los Angeles team beat the San Francisco Giants 7-2, forcing a fifth game in the Division Series.
For the final meeting, which will be tomorrow in San Francisco, Mexican pitcher Julio Urías, leader of victories in the Major Leagues during the regular season with 20, will climb the hill for the Dodgers in search of finalizing the pass to the Championship Series against Logan Webb, winner of the first game.
Walker Buehler started for the Dodgers yesterday and although he had a solid job, he exited the game after throwing 4 1/3 innings in which he allowed the only run.
The win went to Joe Kelly (1-0), who retired two-thirds of the fifth inning when the Giants loaded the bases but only managed one run.
