Victoria is not afraid to go ahead and show the way – which was exactly what she did during the state visit.
Crown Princess Victoria is good at thinking sustainably and she would like to set a good example. Part of that is that she likes to use her clothes several times, something that may sound obvious, it has not always been in the royal world!
We have seen many examples of when Victoria uses the same look over and over again, especially at assignments but also at slightly more festive events. Another favorite for her is to take Silvia’s old clothes and style them in a more modern way, an example of that was when she wore Silvia’s beautiful dress from Nina Ricci at the Nobel Banquet, the Crown Princess really shone in her mother’s old dress.
Crown Princess Victoria leads by example
Now we have another example of the Crown Princess’ sustainability thinking. During the state banquet with the Spanish royal couple, she wore a dress from Frida Jonsvens with dramatically beautiful flowers embroidered in a pattern all over. Anyone who is attentive will probably recognize the dress, as she also wore it in the official photos to draw attention to the Crown Princess couple’s 10-year wedding anniversary last year.
Then she styled it with a simple half set and sparingly with accessories, while at the state banquet she made a big splash with her aquamarine tiara whose blue stones picked up the same color tone as some of the flowers on the dress. She really shone, like a real princess!
