Videos: Impressive images of the earthquake in Taiwan

The strong 6.9 earthquake that shook southeastern Taiwan this weekend had a depth of 10 kilometers with its epicenter in Taitung County, collapsing buildings and causing derailments and road damage.

It shook much of Taiwan and brought down at least one building, temporarily trapping four people. Four hundred tourists were stuck on a mountainside.

Most of the damage appeared to be north of the epicenter, which Taiwan’s Central Bureau of Meteorology put at the town of Chishang, at a relatively shallow depth of 7 kilometers (4 miles).
