Initially, 120 days of preventive detention were issued for the Physical Education teacher accused of sexual abuse against 6 and 7-year-old girls within the educational institution, and now they have extended it for another 80 days, because it is estimated that in 60 days the judgment would come out to the educator, since the realization of a Gesell Chamber that already has a completion date remains.

Although the investigating prosecutor Julio Aníbal Cazarré requested his detention until the end of the trial, the Guarantees judge, Erika Benítez, granted an 80-day extension.

The teacher worked at the Paula Albarracín Sarmiento Normal School in Gobernador Virasoro, an institution where the abuse of more than 20 girls aged 6 and 7 would have occurred.

These facts came to light at the beginning of last June, when the mothers detected strange behavior in their little ones, and when they noticed what was happening, they went to the school and denounced the teacher Gustavo E.

The plaintiff attorney, Eduardo Etchegaray Centeno, told The territory: “All in all we are satisfied because he is a person who did so much damage in an educational establishment, on the occasion in which he was a physical education teacher. If he had regained his freedom it would have been a very hard blow for the victims and their families who are still very distressed.”

However, he said that “we hope for a quick trial so that there is justice and there is no legal device to be released until the moment of sentencing. It is very important that the last Gesell Chamber be held, which is scheduled for October 27” .
