There are things that only one world cupwhat can provide us, such as bizarre and funny images of a players warm-up, a historic victory by Saudi Arabia over the brothers and a different mascot. But anyone who is more attentive, must have seen the name “Alive” stamped on the advertising signs of the event and soon you must have thought that the operator changed its visual identity. You know nothing, innocent!
That’s right: Vivo is not in the World Cup
The logo that has appeared as a sponsor on the advertising signs of the World Cup in Qatar belongs to Vivo Mobile Communications and it has nothing to do with the operator Vivo that we know here in Brazil.
This “Vivo” that sponsors the World Cup in the Middle East has the blue logo with thinner letters. Although it is not very well known in Brazil, it is about one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world🇧🇷 According to data from Counterpoint Research, it is the fifth largest company in the world market, behind only Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi and Oppo.
Founded in 2009, Vivo is a Chinese company that stands out for manufacturing advanced smartphones with an excellent finish and cost-effectiveness. The company is very strong in Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Pakistan. It is a sponsor of the 2022 World Cup, as it was also in 2018, when the World Cup was held in Russia.
THE Alive — telephony operator — and trademark of Telefônica in Brazil, is sponsor of the Brazilian national team, which even debuts in the world this Thursday, November 24, at 4 pm against Serbia. Its logo has the boldest font and features a unique visual identity, with brighter colors, such as purple.
