Reactions to WhatsApp messages: WhatsApp is apparently doing more iterations of its Instagram-like message reaction feature. The feature has been spotted in the past and rumors surrounding it have been circulating for a few months. The feature is already available on the sister platforms of WhatsApp Messenger and Instagram, and it allows users to react to a specific message in a conversation with emojis.
Now a new Reaction Info tab has been spotted, and it is reportedly currently under development. This reaction information tab will allow users to see who reacted to the message.
Reactions to WhatsApp messages
According to reports, the function of reacting to messages is available in individual chats as well as in group chats. It is likely that, like Messenger and Instagram, WhatsApp would also allow users to react using multiple emojis.
The feature, according to WABetaInfo, could be released in future updates, although it is still under development and not yet released in beta versions either.
From now on, we assume that reactions to a post will appear below the post and clicking on it would open the reaction info tab, where users could see who responded to the post.
WhatsApp reaction info tab
According to a screenshot of the feature shared by WABetaInfo, the Info tab shows ‘All’ as the first tab, under which all the reactions are listed, and then the other tabs are split into specific emojis, showing who used which. emoji to react – similar to Facebook likes and reactions.
This is what gives the impression that WhatsApp will allow the use of multiple emojis to react to a message. WhatsApp’s features toggle said a user would only be able to react to a message once and have six reactions to choose from.
Although the feature was detected to be under development for WhatsApp, the platform is said to be working on an Android version for it as well.
