Mexico City.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador launched a call to the World Health Organization (WHO) to approve as soon as possible the vaccines against Covid-19 that have shown efficacy.

Likewise, he urged the organization to act in accordance with science and without political tendencies.

“We are going to ask the WHO to finish giving the certificates to the pharmaceutical companies around the world that have delivered vaccines, that have demonstrated their effectiveness and that have not generated any health problems, that the WHO hurry up because it has been a long time time in the process and there are vaccines that still do not have authorization from the WHO, that have been applied and that have saved lives, and most importantly, that there are no reports in the world that have caused damage, “he said.

“The WHO has to act with rectitude, without political or ideological tendencies, with adherence to science, then we already want them to decide on the certification of all vaccines, what we consider to be common sense, of practical judgment, is that if they have been I applied the vaccines and they have helped and they have not harmed, why have they not been given authorization? Why so much delay? a long time and this does not have to do with political or ideological factions, but with science. ”
