News hardware Will AMD’s new Radeon graphics cards outshine Nvidia’s RTX 3000?
After several weeks of speculation, the new AMD Radeon RX 6X50 XT graphics cards are finally a reality. Performance, price, availability, we tell you about the latest AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series cards.
Refresh versions that are more efficient and less expensive than at Nvidia
Even if there was not much suspense left, AMD therefore made official today three new graphics cards, which should be the last of the RX 6000 Series family, while waiting for the RX 7000 at the end of the year or the beginning. next year.
For now, there are still only 2 to share the graphics card market, AMD and Nvidia, and we strongly hope that Intel’s arrival in this area will materialize to give players even more choice and above all , hopefully more availability.
Either way, 2022 should be the year Nvidia and AMD say goodbye to their GeForce RTX 3000 and Radeon RX 6000 series, but before we draw a line under several years of hard struggle, AMD gratifies us not ‘one but three new graphics cards, or rather “refresh” as some prefer to call them.
The lucky winners are therefore the Radeon RX 6600, 6700 XT and RX 6900 XT which have been given a little makeover and become the new RX 6650 XT, 6750 XT and 6950 XT. AMD opposes them respectively to the RX 3060, RX 3070 and RX 3090 from Nvidia.
FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 to counter DLSS
What is good with the Americans, and which we are still not used to at home, is that they systematically compare themselves to their adversaries by proving by A+B that they are more efficient and above all by displaying their success.
Thus, during the official presentation of the new Radeon RX 6X50 XT models, we were able to realize that the Radeon RX 6650 XT was more powerful absolutely everywhere than a GeForce RTX 3060, that the RX 6750 XT put an RTX at bay 3070 and that the 6950 XT not only consistently beat the RTX 3090, but was also able to compete with the supposedly unbeatable 3090 Ti.
All this of course in an ecosystem entirely devoted to AMD with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D processor, AMD SmartAccess Memory activated and finally the famous FidelityFX Super Resolution in version 2.0 and which catches up with Nvidia’s DLSS at high speed.
In summary, it should be remembered that the Radeon RX 6650 XT is an ideal card for Full HD (1080p), the RX 6750 XT for QHD (1440p) and the RX 6950 XT for 4K.
The availability of these three new cards is announced for today, as for the price said MSRP (Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) it is necessary to count in theory on 399$ for the RX 6650 XT, 549$ for the RX 6750 XT and “only” $1099 for the RX 6590 XT. Prices significantly lower than those offered by Nvidia for equivalent models, but which it is difficult to imagine that they will be respected.
In short, full of beautiful promises that we can’t wait to be able to test and see with our own eyes.
