Microsoft is kicking off video game conferences in 2023. This Wednesday, January 25, the firm will give news of the titles planned for this year.
After a very gloomy year 2022 on the side of the catalog of exclusive games, Microsoft is making its good resolutions. 2023 will obviously be the year of sustained communication, and it starts this Wednesday, January 25 with a first conference. The Redmond company has invented a new broadcast format, dubbed Developer_Direct, to communicate regularly with Xbox users. Hoping that she has sufficiently muscled her game to reassure the fans.
How to follow Microsoft’s Developer_Direct conference?
To attend this Developer_Direct, you will have to book your first part of the evening. But, for once, it won’t be too early or too late: the event will start at 9 p.m. French time.

We already know the program
In 2023, Microsoft wants to be as transparent as possible to avoid communication errors. Therefore, we already know the planned program on major titles.
So we will see:
- The Elder Scrolls Online : the future of the MMORPG will be discussed at length, in particular with the presentation of the regions which will soon be open to players. At the end of the Developer_Direct, there will even be a streaming dedicated to the game.
- Forza Motorsport : undoubtedly the biggest piece of this conference. Turn 10 Studios will come to impress with gameplay images of the racing game likely to become the technological showcase of the Xbox Series X (the most powerful console on the market).
- Minecraft Legends : this new adaptation of the Minecraft universe will take the form of an action and strategy game. Today, we will discover the competitive modes.
- red fall : developed by Arkane Austin, this FPS should be the first major exclusive of the Xbox catalog in 2023. It will face bloodthirsty vampires from the picturesque island of Redfall, in Massachusetts. A priori, the release date will be official.
In addition to these four major productions, other announcements cannot be ruled out. On the other hand, we can already cross out Starfield : Bethesda’s ambitious RPG, once expected for the end of 2022, will be entitled to its own Direct in the coming months. We can understand this absence: it is the exclusivity on which Microsoft must bet in 2023.
- What we are sure to see : beautiful pictures of Forza Motorsport.
- What we would like to see : Microsoft formalizes an exclusivity that no one expected (example: a remake of the first Metal Gear Solid).
- What we would like to see, but which will never happen : Microsoft announces that the process of acquiring Activision is complete.
