Although the lack of first party production is very clearly felt on the side of Xbox in this year 2022, especially since the postponements of Redfall and Starfield, the green brand would encounter difficulties in planning the release dates of all the projects currently in development. so many are there.
Xbox Game Studios at work!
A few days ago the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase took place, the opportunity for Microsoft to present various titles already announced or not, such as Pentiment and A Plague Tale: Requiem in particular, as well as to finally formalize their collaboration with Hideo Kojima.
In addition to all these trailers and other gameplay footage, it was a statement from Matt Booty that caused a lot of reaction. Indeed, the latter indicated that the Xbox Game Studios are currently working on a very large number of games and that it is therefore difficult to plan the releases of all of these projects.
A statement which therefore suggests that the year 2023 could be very busy for Microsoft, which finally seems to benefit from the power of these twenty-three internal studios (soon thirty-four if we count Activision-Blizzard). Thus, in addition to Forza Motorsport scheduled for next spring, it is to be expected that a good number of games will be marketed from January: we are thinking particularly of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Contraband or Avowed.
For those who missed them, we urge you to check out our recaps of all the announcements made during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase and Xbox Games Extended Showcase.
