Even today, Bärbel Schäfer has a multi-pronged career. You can hear them every Sunday on HR3, live between 10:00 and 12:00 in “The Sunday Talk” or at any time in the HR3 podcast. There is also the podcast “Pronounced: Fröhlich mit Schäfer”, which Bärbel Schäfer creates together with Susanne Fröhlich. It appears twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, and can be accessed via Spotify, for example. The topic is “everything that moves: politics, pandemic and pool parties”.
Or how about, after all, all good things come in threes with the Weser-Kurier talk show, the “Weser Beach”, which has been running under the motto “Sensual, Quarrelsome, Bremen” since 2016? This is where you mainly meet Bremen’s celebrities, most recently Sven Regener from “Element of Crime” was a guest.
Bärbel Schäfer has been married to her colleague Michel Friedmann since 2004. You have two sons. Bärbel Schäfer talks about hers “cuddle family”, which also owns the dog Snoopy. And if you compare their moderation from the 90s with today, it is perhaps not disrespectful to speak of a wonderful development. The cornerstone that makes her a talk icon was laid back then. Since then, however, it has moved up a number of floors.
