A 60-year-old man was struck and killed Sunday in Atlantic City

A 61-year-old man was struck while riding a bicycle Sunday morning.

Police in Atlantic City, New Jersey, are investigating the incident that occurred around 11:21 a.m. at the intersection of Montpelier and Arctic Avenue.

The cyclist was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. At the moment, the authorities have not offered more information about the sexagenarian.

According to the police report, a 22-year-old woman struck the cyclist while he was driving a vehicle heading west. The young woman herself remained at the scene of the accident and has been cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
