The sound of a gunshot inside the King of Prussia Mall in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, sent customers running for cover.
The event occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 15, 2023. The investigation indicates that the shot took place in the food court located on the first floor.
The initial call came as an ‘active shooter’ threat causing the mall to preemptively close.
According to the Police, at the moment of seeing the surveillance cameras, they saw a couple of subjects walking inside the establishment, when the firearm of one of the individuals accidentally fired in his pants pocket, hitting another person. .
In addition, the authorities found what appears to be blood in the area, so they believe that one of the two subjects was injured.
