The case came to light on Monday, after the police learned that in Mondorí de Pozo Azul, around 11 in the morning, a male shot his brother with a firearm. According to investigations, what should have been a conversation to arrange a bet on politics ended with the shooting and death of Omar Da Silva (44), which caused a commotion in the place and several days of constant searching to find the fugitive.
Although the truck he owned with which he fled, a Toyota Hilux, was found abandoned on a farm located 45 kilometers from where the incident occurred, but not the author of the shots. In an interview with relatives, they had indicated to the police personnel that the defendant would turn himself in voluntarily, without specifying a date or time.
