After 3 years in the US, Cuban mother of 3 enrolls at the University of Miami to pursue her dream of learning English

A Cuban woman living in Miami has moved many with a video posted on TikTok, where she shares her experience and motivation to improve herself. The woman, mother of three children, tells of her struggle to learn English and fulfill her dream of studying a career in the United States.

In the video, Cuban Anaidys Ramírez (@anaidysramirez) says that she enrolled at the University of Miami-Dade to study English with credit, this will allow her to study a career after finishing the English levels.

“I’ve been in this country for three years and I’ve always wanted to study English, but I have three children and I don’t have much help. My mother isn’t here, I always waited for my mother. And the reality is that three years have passed and my mother hasn’t come because I have no control over that and I haven’t learned English.”comments this Cuban mother.

The woman highlights the importance of taking action despite the circumstances: “What I mean is that time will pass anyway and if you do nothing you will get nothing. You can always do it. I recently heard the phrase ‘Everything is far away when you don’t want to go’. We always want to carry out our plans; the important thing is to visualize our goals. When you want, you can. We waste time on things that will not give us any benefit.”

Her message has resonated with many Cubans on TikTok, who have congratulated her for her determination and bravery.
