Everton FC have apparently rejected a first offer from Al Nassr for Asmir Begovic. According to information from ‘Sky Sports’, the Toffees blocked a loan offer from the Saudi club. According to the pay channel, Al Nassr is expected to make another attempt to lure the 35-year-old Bosnian into the desert shortly. There Begovic would be a replacement for the injured David Ospina (34).
Begovic is only under contract with Everton until the end of the season. In the current season, the experienced goalkeeper has only been used in one Premier League game and two cup games. It remains questionable whether Everton will agree to a loan deal, as they would lose number two behind regular goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (28) for the rest of the season without any major economic gain.
