American customs destroyed sealed Pokémon Yellow worth over 100,000 kroner

It’s always a little nerve-wracking to send precious collectibles by courier. You never know how well a package is treated, and if you’re really unlucky, it can also get lost on the way. Something that has probably affected most people at least once when it comes to online orders. But above all, it is customs that people are often afraid of, as they often have a notorious behavior around tearing open and inspecting packaging. Something that has now happened with an almost irreplaceable, unopened copy of Pokémon Yellow.

The collector in question was waiting for a graded copy sealed in acrylic packaging. But when the person received the package from customs, the package had been opened, the plastic torn off. A really sad story of course and a friend of the collector posted a picture of the disaster on Twitter. A game worth 100,000 kroner, completely destroyed.
