Patrick Pentz is happy with his move to Bayer Leverkusen. The Werkself winter signing said to ‘Sky Austria’: “It’s a lot easier for me here than in France. As an Austrian, things are always easy in Germany. It’s also easier to communicate with everyone because you understand the language. It felt at home from the start. With Leverkusen you have a great city where you can work in peace and concentrate on football.”
In winter, his plan was to leave Ligue 1 “and find something new”. In his eyes, Bayer is a “Top 4 Club in Germany”. Accordingly, he had to seize the opportunity. Pentz also has words of praise for regular keeper Lukas Hradecky: “I now have someone in front of me with a lot of Bundesliga and international experience, I can learn a lot from them.” Nevertheless, the 26-year-old does not want to hide from Hradecky: “Of course it’s my goal to be in goal at some point.” The goalkeeper is tied to Bayer until 2025.
