Xabi Alonso has led Bayer Leverkusen from 17th place in the table to sixth place and into the semi-finals of the Europa League. This does not go unnoticed in the Spanish homeland either. As reported by ‘Sport Bild’, Florentino Pérez sees the 41-year-old as Real Madrid’s new coach.
For the club president, Alonso was already this summer “desired solution”, should Real have a need. Official Carlo Ancelotti is being courted by the Brazilian FA. In addition, his chair begins to wobble at the latest in a Champions League semi-final against Manchester City.
