Blue light: fire in Mülheim apartment building: resident in the clinic

Mulheim.
Shock in the evening hour: In Mülheim, a woman had to be rescued from her apartment. Construction work made the work of the fire brigade more difficult.

Attentive residents of Mülheim ensured on Saturday evening that a woman from Hessen could be rescued from her apartment by the fire brigade in good time.

The control center had previously received several emergency calls – the callers reported smoke and flames in the attic of an apartment building on Honigsbergerstrasse. Two fire engines and the rescue service rushed to help around half past eight: On site, the situation was initially very unclear “due to difficult access and impairments due to construction work”, according to a press release.

Fire is said to have ignited on the table in the apartment in Mülheim-Heißen

However, after the fire brigade had gained access, they were able to save a woman from her smoke-filled apartment. The rescue service took care of the resident; she came to the hospital. The fire, which is said to have started on a table in the kitchen, was quickly extinguished.

The police have taken over the investigation and are looking for the cause of the fire.
