Chainsaw Man fans are now harassing the family of one of the anime’s artists

When MAP Study premiered the first episode of the anime Chainsaw Man A few minutes sufficed to remove all doubts about the fidelity of the adaptation.

The opening chapter, like the entire first season of its animated adaptation, is undoubtedly one of the best premieres of its year and helped position this franchise as one of the most popular today.

Competition with contemporary anime is fierce, with titles like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba occupying a predominant weight and wide recognition both among fans and among specialized critics.

But Chainsaw Man is a peculiar animal that should be looked at separately. All largely thanks to the original author of the manga, Tatsuki Fujimoto. A subject that has a somewhat strange personality, which ends up being reflected in the twisted plot of his work.

Not long ago we shared the details about the revelation of a bizarre anecdote, where the mangaka confessed how he had eaten the corpse of his pet.

So it shouldn’t surprise us that the fans of this franchise are also a bit strange. Most of the time they are harmless the same, but sometimes their behavior is alarming.

Ryan Colt Levy warns his family is being harassed by Chainsaw Man fans

Production and distribution times for anime releases are already much faster than they used to be in past decades, where one had to wait quite a few months, if not entire years, before seeing a dubbed version of the most recent series.

Fortunately, that has remained in the past and now it is much more common to see the emergence of the official dubbed version almost in parallel than the anime in question. That was the case with the first season of Chainsaw Man and the lead character of Denji was played in his English version by the distinctive voice of the voice actor and musician. Ryan Colt Levy.

So far everything was going well and the actor had earned the artist wide recognition in recent months. But things got dense, since according to a complaint through their social networks some anime fans started harassing his family:

According to the actor himself, the intention of the followers of Chainsaw Man when approaching his family would be none other than to get the opportunity to meet Levy in person.

But apparently the matter has escalated too much and the actor has made the matter public asking them to please stop doing that.
