Police say the driver of an NYPD tow truck is facing charges after she fatally ran over a seven-year-old boy in Brooklyn on Thursday.
The driver has been identified as Stephanie Sharp, 54 years old. and is charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian or bicycle in front of a motor vehicle and failure to exercise due care.
The incident occurred around eight in the morning in the Fort Greene sector.
The tragedy occurred when the little boy was trying to cross the street with his mother.
The minor, identified as Kamei Hughes, died at the scene of the incident.
