At any moment the Department of Justice will file charges against the suspect of murdering his landlord in the middle of a dispute between tenants.
Although the alleged attacker was initially identified as Rex Durazo, he is listed as “Draco Amoroso” in other parts of the United States.
Indeed, it was reported that Durazo has a criminal record for sexual assault in the state of Oregon.
The events occurred on Monday night on Amur street, Reparto Landrau urbanization, in Puerto Nuevo.
From the investigation it appears that a fight broke out between the alleged attacker and another tenant identified as José Pérez. At that moment, the owner of the apartments tried to control the violent altercation and was attacked with a knife until death. Meanwhile, Pérez was transported to the Río Piedras Medical Center and is in stable condition.
The fatal victim was identified as 65-year-old Carlos Fernando Colón Martínez, who owns several apartments and was described by his acquaintances as a “helpful and well-liked man.”
