CHP: Driver dies after allegedly skipping a STOP sign

VISALIA, California – Visalia California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers investigate a fatal crash on Highway 43 near Alpaugh.

According to the preliminary investigation, at about 1:30 p.m. on June 30, a driver was killed after two cars collided at the intersection of Highway 43 and Avenue 56.

CHP officials say that one of the drivers would have jumped a STOP sign causing the fatal crash and losing his life instantly.

Alcohol or drugs appear not to be a factor in this accident, however the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
