If there is a program that left a great impression among Cubans, it is the comedy “Do you swear to tell the truth?”More than a decade after it was broadcast on Cuban television, actors and audiences continue to remember the madness that occurred in that atypical court.
The Cuban comedian Aleanis Jáuregui, who owes her pseudonym Cuqui La Mora precisely to this programhe shared on his Instagram in memory of his time in this space.
“Tbt Do you swear to tell the truth?”wrote the artist in a post on that social network along with a fragment of one of the episodes.
It is impossible to forget Cuqui La Mora, who arrived at the courtroom like a lady and lord, destroying everything in her path.
The “calm and without delay” that accompanied her in her triumphal entry is not missing in this video, and neither are her phrases at an astronomical speed that many times had to be translated into “Spanish” so that they could be understood, although it was enough to look at her to know that only insults came out of her mouth, most of them directed at the accused Chivichana (Ulises Toirac).
Even outside of Cuba, making a career in Miami, Aleanis is and will continue to be Cuqui La Mora for Cubans.
