Daft Punk announces an immersive musical experience for Argentina and Mexico: what it’s all about

The iconic French electronic duo, Daft Punkcontinues to surprise his fans with the release of an unpublished song called “Infinity Repeating”. The tune, recorded during the sessions for their album “Random Access Memories” in 2013, will be presented at the Center Pompidou in Paris, where the duo began their love affair with the musical genre.

The song features the voice of Julian Casablancas, from the band The Strokes, and will be part of an “immersive musical” series that will take place in Mexico, Argentina and France. The virtual experience will be broadcast through the Snapchat application and is part of the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of “Random Access Memories”.

Although the song was left in the cutting room in favor of other hits like “Get Lucky,” fans will have the chance to enjoy it in a unique, high-fidelity experience. The song will be presented in the 350-seat Parisian cinema auditorium, a giant screen in the museum’s atrium, as well as a 150-seat gallery space, according to DW.

Coordinates point to the Zócalo

The expectation for the return of Daft Punk increased in recent daysafter the band published the coordinates of the Zócalo in Mexico City on social networks.

Although it was rumored that the band would give a concert in that country, it was confirmed that it is an immersive international musical experience in which Mexico is a part, and that it will include the presentation of the new glass helmet of the duo.

Although the group broke up for good two years ago, Daft Punk’s musical legacy remains an inspiration to many artists and fans around the world. The presentation of “Infinity Repeating” at the Pompidou Center is yet another example of the enduring influence of this French electronic duo on pop culture and electronic music.
