Toyotaro brings us back one of the most beautiful friendships he ever made Gohan during his childhood in Dragon Ball Z: the one of Icarus. In his “monthly doodle” he has illustrated the two adult characters and highlights the gigantic size of the animal that had disappeared after the Garlic Jr. arc.
About Icarus there were multiple theories and so far none have been confirmed or ruled out. It was said that the animal had plunged into the forest to dedicate itself to its wildlife habitat and therefore no longer visited Gohan.
The top illustrator of Akira Toriyama’s work, in addition to bringing it back in a design that unlocks multiple memories for us, anticipates that the dinosaur could return for the manga and anime in the arcs that take place from Dragon Ball Super.
It just warns you that maybe you oversized it and it could come out much smaller than you drew it.

Icarus and Gohan: the reunion in Dragon Ball Super
“In the future, when it comes out, there is a possibility that it will not be so big… so sorry,” Toyotaro writes on his official Twitter account.

The Dragon Ball official site remember that Icarus is an original anime character who first appeared in the 1990 movie “Dragon Ball Z: Super Decisive Battle for the Whole Earth”. Back then it was just a small dragon that was attached to Gohan, who saved it from a pinch.
Although Toyotaro made the design in black and white, the users themselves took care of giving color to the illustration.
