The crossovers or collaborations that the Chilean illustrator Salvamakoto considers between Dragon Ball and Caballeros are brutal. However, it is complex to find that the personalities of the characters that it combines are completely similar.
Con Goku and Vegeta (Pegasus and Phoenix respectively) hit the spot. But in the case of Broly it is difficult to find a relationship since the Bronze Saints are quite calm and focused warriors when it comes to facing a battle.
Salvamakoto put Broly in the armor of the Dragon Knight, who in Masami Kurumada’s anime wears Shiryu, perhaps the most peaceful fighter there is.
Shiryu is known to be a loyal and brave knight, with a calm and collected personality. He is a disciplined warrior who values honor and justice. He often displays a calm and thoughtful demeanor, and is considered one of the wisest and most mature characters in the series.
On the other hand, Broly is a Dragon Ball character who has had several versions and reinterpretations throughout the franchise.
Originally, he was introduced as an extremely powerful Saiyan but with anger issues and unleashed madness. However, in later versions, his personality has been modified and he has shown different characteristics.
And it is in this last modification where the similarity that the Chilean cartoonist could have seen could be focused. While he is not consumed with anger, Broly even has a similar appearance to Shiryu. So there it could be said that this pair of characters have things in common.
Much remains to be seen of Broly in Dragon Ball Super. Currently, as we could see in ‘Super Hero’, the Saiyan is on Beerus’s planet learning to control himself to later become one of the Z Fighters.
