Eleven dead in factory fire in eastern China

Beijing, April 18. Eleven people died in a fire that occurred in a factory in the city of Jinhua in the Chinese province of Zhejiang (east), local media reported today.

The victims were trapped on the third floor of an industrial building in Wuyi County after the fire broke out shortly after noon on Monday, the official Xinhua news agency reported.

After two rounds of searches, the authorities confirmed the death of the eleven people who did not manage to get out of the burning building.

At the moment the causes of the accident are unknown, on which there is an ongoing investigation.

On March 28, a fire in an abandoned cold store in the town of Cangzhou (north) left the same number of deaths. EFE
