A road accident involving five vehicles occurred this Thursday, the 6th on Interstate 2, in Weslaco, the Weslaco Police reported.
So far it is unknown what caused the crash or the names of the people involved.
At around 1:44 p.m., traffic in the area began to flow as one lane was opened, police said. However, police warned drivers traveling in the area to exercise caution. The crash occurred in the westbound lane in the 900 block.
By 2:14 p.m., all cars had been removed from the area, authorities said.
Weslaco Police ask drivers to exercise caution in the area. Police officers and people on the scene are working to move the vehicles off the road.
