Focus: Earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria

The number of earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria has risen to over 11,000 – and thousands of people are still believed to be under the rubble. Criticism of the lack of rescue workers is increasing – many survivors are still on their own. What is the status of the relief organizations, how justified is the criticism in view of the enormous dimensions of the catastrophe? The “Focal Point” reports on this in reports and analyses.
In addition to live subtitling, the “Brennpunkt” programs on Erste are also offered with a translation into German Sign Language (DGS) – on the Internet as a live stream and via HbbTV. After the broadcast, it can be accessed on demand in the ARD media library.
