GDR building Staudenhof in Potsdam: Greens stick to the demolition decision – with a narrow majority

The Potsdam Greens want to make the demolition and new construction of the Staudenhof residential block in the center of Potsdam more ecologically sustainable than previously planned and do without an underground car park underneath. However, with a narrow majority, they speak out against the preservation of the GDR building. These are the central results of an eagerly awaited general meeting of the Greens district association, which took place on Thursday evening in the fully occupied event hall of the downtown restaurant “Alter Stadtwächter”. Several demolition opponents in the party had requested the meeting.
