Google Stadia only has a few days to live, on January 18, 2023, Google will pull the plug on its streaming service.
The controller that was once designed and released specifically for Google Stadia still has a future, though.
Use with other platforms
The controller is currently set to only connect to Google’s cloud gaming service.
In the course of the coming week, however, they would like to publish a tool that anyone can use to enable additional Bluetooth connections on the controller.
However, further details are not yet available.
The company is currently busy with refunds. Anyone who has purchased Google Stadia hardware will receive these. Automatic refunds are also provided for game, add-on and subscription purchases (excluding Stadia Pro). The majority of these are expected to be settled by January 18, 2023.
We’ve also got Bluetooth news: next week we’ll be releasing a self-serve tool to enable Bluetooth connections on your Stadia Controller.
We’ll share details here on release. pic.twitter.com/6vYomngfmA
