India says it won’t regulate artificial intelligence

NoThe last few weeks have seen several calls from experts who advocate greater regulation in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), pointing to potential risks for society as we know it. However, it seems that not everyone is concerned about this risk.

How does the Gizmodo websitea statement shared by India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology indicates that the country’s government “is not considering creating a law or regulating the growth of Artificial Intelligence”.

Moreover, this Indian government ministry considers that AI will be a “kinetic enabler of the digital economy” which should strengthen entrepreneurship and also play a strategic role in the economy.
