“I’ve been here for 10 years and I’m not leaving”

"I've been here for 10 years and I'm not leaving"

Cuban @teresacreandoestilofg has caused a stir on TikTok by responding to a user who claimed that in Europe there was quality of life, while in the United States people lived to work.

Teresa, who lived in Spain for several years before moving to Miami, has been clear on her social networks about the opportunities for growth and entrepreneurship she has found in the United States, compared to the limitations she faced in Spain.

“I’ve been here in Miami for 10 years and I’m not leaving. I love this city. I always say that quality is what you set out to do. So, if you come to this country and leave Cuba and focus on your work, on setting up your business, your American dream, with sacrifice and work you can achieve it. Something that can’t happen in Spain. In Spain, the European dream is for Europeans and for a few Europeans,” he said in his response.

“I got here on my own and, today, I’m happy to be able to have my business, to live off it and to have the quality of life and the life of luxury that, as I’ve said in other videos, I never dreamed of living in Spain or being able to live like I do here,” she continued in her words that have provoked dozens of comments on TikTok, where many have shared experiences and opinions.

Some have supported the vision of the Cuban entrepreneur on the United States. “Spain is a total depression… I don’t know what they are talking about when they say that there is quality, because to do business the taxes are through the roof”; “I can attest to this, I have been in Spain for 18 years and I know what you are talking about. Sadly, here we are going from bad to worse”; “I live in Italy and I have a hair salon and everything has to be paid and paid, you can’t save”; “In Spain, taxes eat you up for entrepreneurs. As a Spaniard, I want to leave here”; “Spain is not good for entrepreneurship. It’s all taxes, and to buy a house you have to spend at least 30 years paying for it. It’s not worth spending your life to pay for an apartment”; “In Spain, the great sacrifice is to have a job and the salaries are not worth mentioning,” supported some.

Others, however, highlighted the possibilities of success in Spain with effort and determination: “I have a company in Spain, of course you can do it with your feet on the ground and with effort and struggle”; “Spain gives you many things that the United States does not provide you and vice versa, starting there. You are more interested in obtaining nationality, something that the United States does not provide you”; “I have been in Spain for 28 years and it has given me everything, a farm, a house and my family, but if you do better there, Cubans are fighters and entrepreneurs, I am glad you are doing well, greetings and blessings”; “I came to Spain and I have my business, I have achieved many things and I continue to do so; I think it is a matter of setting your mind to it and fighting”; “In any developed country with sacrifice you can live peacefully, not with luxuries but peacefully. But sacrifice is needed”; “I have lived my dream in Spain, I have my business, my schedule and I am happy to achieve everything, my children go to private schools and I am Cuban,” they said.
