Leaves a dead carambola of 200 cars in China

Beijing.- One person died as a result of a massive crash involving some 200 vehicles on a highway in China, local media reported on Wednesday.

In the images circulating on social networks, scenes of the chaos caused by the crashed cars on the Yellow River Bridge in the city of Zhengzhou, in central China, can be seen.

According to local media, the accident was caused by a dense fog that accumulated in the place.

“On Wednesday morning, a sudden buildup of fog occurred at the Yellow River Bridge in Zhengzhou, causing a traffic accident involving the collision of multiple vehicles,” CCTV reported citing Zhengzhou authorities.

A witness surnamed Zhang told the Global Times that there was water on the bridge in the morning and it was slippery.

Most of the drivers were trapped in their vehicles, requiring the support of 11 fire trucks and 66 rescue personnel.

“This is too scary. Full of people here, I don’t think we can get off the bridge,” one person said in a video posted on social media.
