Andrés Garza, 43, a resident of Corpus Christi, was identified as the person who died in a run over in Edinburg this past Sunday, June 11, a press release reported.
The man was placing traffic signals at the freeway construction in the southbound lane of I-69C, just south of FM 490. The investigation is not yet complete and the Edinburg Police Department wants to remind drivers Be careful when you are behind the wheel.
The unfortunate incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. and the victim was a subcontractor working with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The alleged person responsible for this death is a driver who was towing a vehicle and hit the worker. The victim died at the scene.
