Man shot dead by Miami police in Little Havana

A man was fatally shot by Miami police in Little Havana after they responded to a call because the victim was shooting into the air and at a building with a gun, the network reported. Telemundo.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) reported that deputies responded to the area shortly after 9 a.m. after receiving reports of a possible suspicious person.

“When they found the individual, he exited the vehicle. He was armed. He was given verbal commands to drop the weapon. He did not do so. Instead, he charged at the officers, prompting one of the officers to fire his weapon,” said BSO spokeswoman Veda Coleman-Wright.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and was later identified by authorities.
