Mayor to recruit squad to mitigate rat problem

Mayor Adams announced today that the city will be recruiting New Yorkers to join the “Rat Pack.”

This group will assist in rat mitigation efforts across all five boroughs of New York.

Requirements to join include attending a two-hour session of the Department of Health’s rat academy, participating in a rodent mitigation service event and going on a rat walk with the so-called “rat czar.”

At his press conference, the mayor said the Rat Pack will help communities get rid of rodents and achieve the goal of making New York the most rat-friendly city in the United States.
