Miracle at Tennessee zoo, Spotless Giraffe born

The world’s rarest Spotless Giraffe was born last month at Brights Zoo in Limestone, Tennessee, according to officials.

Zoo officials said on Monday that the giraffe born without spots on July 31 is the only one of its kind on Earth.

The zoo is asking the public to help name her. Giraffe experts believe it to be the only solidly colored reticulated giraffe living anywhere on the planet. The baby is now available for viewing at the zoo.

She is already 6 feet tall and is thriving under the care of her mother and the zoo staff.

“The international coverage of our Spotless baby giraffe has shone a much-needed spotlight on giraffe conservation. The wild population is quietly heading towards extinction, with 40% of the wild giraffe population lost in the past three decades, said Tony Bright, founder of Bright’s Zoo.
