NYCHA establishes new waiting list for Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers and begins notifying applicants of lottery results.
Some 200,000 lucky New Yorkers will receive help accessing rental subsidies for use in the private market.
Applicants were randomly selected from a pool of 633,808 applicants on the waiting list, according to city officials.
Online applications were accepted between June 3 and June 9.
Successful applicants will be notified by email this week, according to NYCHA representatives.
