NEW YORK — Authorities have arrested a man for allegedly stabbing to death his wife and young daughter on Long Island, Suffolk County Police announced Monday.
Zanoor Jaffari, 31, was charged with two counts of second degree murder for the bloody incident that occurred on Sunday.
According to information from the uniformed, the officers responded to the place located in the 49 Jefferson Avenuein Brentwood, when the suspect stabbed his wife Misbah Batool, 33, and their daughter Iazia Zanoor, 2, who were transported to hospital and pronounced dead.
The suspect was also transported to the hospital for medical evaluation and released before being arrested. He is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
No further details of the events or the cause of the deadly attack were released.
This is a case under investigation.
