The Political table held the first meeting and the central theme was, as Kirchnerism had requested, the “proscription of Vice President Cristina Fernández”, after the conviction for the so-called Road Causein which the court imposed, in the first instance, the penalty of “special perpetual disqualification from holding public office.”
After the meeting, which lasted for more than six hours, the Frente de Todos (FdT) issued a document titled, “democracy without proscription. Unity to transform”already anticipates the issues that occupied the greatest attention of the 33 members of the Political table. The declaration expresses that “the greatest triumph of the concentrated powers is to subdue society in discouragement and anger, and to turn an adverse global situation into a fatalism from which there is no way out.”
The writing of the Political table I consider that “In 2023, two country models will face each other. The Argentina of shared progress, and the anachronism of a right that conceives the country as a business platform for a few”. He also maintains that “they repeat formulas that have failed decades ago, except to enrich small privileged groups.”
The statement of the referents put the accent in the unity of the political space, by maintaining that “it is an important value for those of us who are part of the FdT”and claim to know “all the economic and social demands to which we still have to give concrete answers”, expressed in the “electoral contract agreed in 2019, and for which we must continue working.”
The central message of the document, in addition to the “ban on Cristina Fernández”, was the call for unity in the diversity of space, to “avoid a return of the right”, and invited to “articulate all the different viewsand also to those who want to join this project for an Argentina that grows with peace, equality and freedom”.
