Wednesday, January 11, 2023 | 10:15 a.m.

Members of the Third Section of Iguazú detained a 28-year-old man as the alleged perpetrator of the attack on Diego César Brites, who since last Sunday has been hospitalized in a delicate state of health at the local Samic hospital due to an attack with a knife that suffered in the Bicentennial neighborhood.

The person involved was identified as Juan David L. (28), alias Chito, and was located during a police operation carried out in a house in the Police District, in the 2,000-hectare area.

The arrest of the suspect occurred after the testimony of the mother and a sister of the victim. As well as a friend of the detainee, to whom the latter confessed last Sunday to having hit someone for family reasons.

Apparently, according to police sources consulted, Chita would have argued with Brites, who is the brother of her ex-partner.

In the possession of the defendant, the police seized clothing with blood stains.
