Do you remember Konami’s old retro classic Contra where in classic “run and gun” fashion you raced through courses with various types of firearms ready to make short work of any conceivable enemy that came your way? This news isn’t about Contra but if you remember the old classic fondly then for God’s sake read on!
The indie studio Kitogoru Games has recently announced the title Gundroid, which is very much reminiscent of Konami’s old gem, where you have to shoot your way through a lot of resistance of different sizes on a lovely 16 pixels in a lovely retro-scented spirit. The announcement was followed by a trailer which showcases what we can expect from the game. Gundroid is expected to premiere in 2024 and at the time of writing, PC is the only confirmed format.
