Since the release of Dead Rising 4 in 2016, it has been pretty quiet about the popular game series, the last we heard was that Dead Rising 5 was in development but was shelved in 2018. Now, however, it looks like Capcom’s zombie butcher may be about to make a comeback, at least if journalist Jez Corden is to be believed.
It was via his Twitter account that he wrote that Capcom is currently working on a reboot of Dead Rising, which platforms it will be released to, he is not so sure. However, it is reasonable to assume that it will come to more than one platform, just like its predecessors.
Until Capcom themselves confirm the whole thing, you know what applies, just bring out the salt shaker. But it probably doesn’t feel completely unlikely that Dead Rising will make a comeback in some form.
