JFK Airport Terminal 8 evacuated after escalator catches fire.
Following the emergency, a total of six people received minor injuries and were taken to medical centers for evaluation.
Dozens more had to be evacuated from the terminal due to the smoky conditions.

The images show the extensive deployment of emergency personnel.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:15 this morning and impacted air operations, which have now resumed as normal.
The causes are still under investigation.
