Julian Rijkhoff has big plans for Borussia Dortmund. As the Dutch striker explained to the ‘Ruhr Nachrichten’, he wants to be part of the Black and Yellow Bundesliga team in the long term: “I’m proud that I was able to sign a long-term contract with BVB. I can feel the trust of those responsible and I will continue to work towards my dream of being able to play for Borussia Dortmund’s professionals at some point.”
His extension last week “another step to the first team” been, so the only 18-year-old. According to Rijkhoff, he still has a lot of work to do on himself: “One of my priorities is to improve myself physically.” He certainly has what it takes to make a professional breakthrough: Rijkhoff has scored 42 goals in 54 appearances for BVB’s U19s.
