Stabbing attack Gare du Nord in Paris, the police open fire and arrest the assailant

Several people were slightly injured by stabbing, this Wednesday, January 11 in the morning in the Gare du Nord in Paris, by a man immediately arrested on the spot, AFP learned from a police source, confirming information from BFMTV.

The facts took place around 6:45 a.m. in the station. For an undetermined reason, the assailant injured several people with a bladed weapon. The police overpowered him by shooting him, the same source added. A security perimeter has been set up.

Six people are injured according to the information from the “Figaro”who adds that the vital prognosis of the assailant would be engaged.

The traffic of main line trains, TER, RER and Ile-de-France trains is disrupted at departures as well as at arrivals from the Gare du Nord, indicates the SNCF.

“Thank you to the police for their effective and courageous reaction”reacted the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin on Twitter.
